The Scalp Shading Pigment Collection has been selected specifically for professional scalp density shading treatments.
Unlike traditional techniques designed to create individual hair-follicle dots, AI Scalp™ focuses on building soft, diffused colour between existing hairs, helping reduce the visual contrast between the scalp and hair and creating the appearance of greater overall density.
Available in Black, Dark Brown and Mid Brown, the shades can be selected according to the client's natural hair colour, skin tone and desired finished result.
BLACK – Scalp Shading Pigment
Deep. Defined. High Impact.
Our Black Scalp Shading Pigment is the deepest shade within the AI Scalp™ pigment collection.
Designed primarily for clients with black and very dark hair, it provides rich pigment coverage while allowing the technician to gradually build a soft, natural-looking density effect.
Rather than creating a solid or heavily saturated appearance, the pigment is designed to be applied using the AI Scalp™ shading technique to blend through the existing hair.
Ideal for: black hair, very dark brunette hair, deeper density work, crowns, partings, hairlines and areas where stronger depth is required.
Available in 30ml,60ml & 120ml.
DARK BROWN – Scalp Shading Pigment

Our Dark Brown Scalp Shading Pigment provides a deep brunette tone without the intensity of black.
This versatile shade is ideal for clients with dark brown to deep brunette hair, allowing technicians to build natural-looking depth while maintaining a softer overall finish.
It can be particularly effective when working through existing brunette hair where black may appear too strong.
Ideal for: dark brunettes, medium-to-deep brunette hair, crown density, partings, temples, hairlines and general scalp shading.

MID BROWN – Scalp Shading Pigment
Soft. Versatile. Natural Finish.
Our Mid Brown Scalp Shading Pigment is a rich medium-brown shade designed for clients who require a softer result than Dark Brown or Black.
It is particularly suited to medium brunette and lighter brunette hair tones, helping create subtle depth through areas where the scalp is more visible.
The colour can be gradually layered using the AI Scalp™ technique, allowing technicians to create a beautifully diffused finish that complements the client's existing hair rather than overpowering it.
Ideal for: medium brunettes, lighter brunette tones, softer density work, partings, crowns, temples and hairlines.

Professional Formula
Our scalp shading pigments feature a high pigment load and smooth consistency, allowing technicians to work efficiently while gradually building colour.
The shades are designed to blend easily and create soft, realistic-looking results when used with the correct AI Scalp™ machine, needle configuration and technique.
Ingredients: Aqua, Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

AI Scalp™ pigments are intended for trained professional use only. Colour selection should always be based on an individual client assessment, and technicians should follow appropriate patch-testing, hygiene and treatment protocols.

If pigments are ordered together with an AI Scalp™ machine, additional shipping time will apply and the order may follow the machine's estimated 3–4 week delivery timeframe.
International orders may be subject to customs duties, import VAT, taxes or clearance charges. These are not included in the purchase price and are the responsibility of the customer.
